[ voice of dennis ] silence. are you in good hands? ♪ >> jennifer: we're back inside "the war room." i'm jennifer granholm. so there are disturbing new numbers out today from the census bureau, even as the unemployment rate drops, the ranks of the working poor are rising. in 2011, 32% of working familiar list made $46,000 or less, which was not enough to cover their basic living expenses and that's a 4% jump from 2007. it's getting worse. meanwhile the richest 20% of the nation's wealthiest working families took home nearly half of all wages. my next guest has made it his mission to eradicate union theological seminary and one of the organizers behind tomorrow's vision for a new america: a future without poverty poverty. the event, which is being held at george washington university is going to feature a brood cross-section of politicians and scholars, including former house speaker newt gingrich, and talk show host, tavis smiley. dr. west is coming to us from washington, d.c. welcome to the show! >> thank you so much my dear sister
